We hope you are all enjoying your summer. After the success of our Easter fair earlier this year, we are hosting a summer fair this Saturday, 23rd August 2014! Officially, it will run from 10am - 4pm, however based on experiences of the Easter fair, lets just say that it is flexible. There will be a multitude of things to eat, see and do, and we are sure it will make a wonderful family day out!
As per the Easter fair, we will be running an all day BBQ sampling our very own home grown meats. In accompaniment, there will be a tea and cake stall run by Helen Fenner, and a beer tent! Additionally, our farm shop will be open all day where you will not only be able to find the meats you tried in the BBQ, but also locally made pies, cakes, fresh produce and more!
Whilst all that is going on for the adults, believe you me, the children will have a field day! (Mind the pun...well ok, it might have been intended) There will be tractors for the children to sit on and pose with, the sheep and goats will also provide picture opportunities! Children will have the chance to feed the chickens. We shall call this educational, however we sincerely hope the children don't see it this way! Furthermore, there will be face painting, pony rides. If your children still have boundless energy, send them the way of the bouncy castle!
In addition, we will have some further stalls run by local people offering a variety of goods which are sure to catch your attention! We very much look forward to seeing you at Maisebrooke Farm this Saturday, and trust that you will have a whale of a time! Apologies, we don't have any whales on the farm, although we did try!
Our best wishes to all,
David and Jo.
